page 12. point 2.

a client can ask for whatever they want, but that doesn't mean i am going to do whatever they want. just like a client can send over an order at whatever fee they want to but i determine what my fees are.
Duh! That is what I said! Are you arguing just to argue? Actually read my posts before you criticize them.

have you been smoking with UC? the client never sets the SOW, the appraiser does. that is the opposite of what you said.

talk about needing a refresher course.... you have a lot more to do as an appraiser beyond making a report USPAP compliant...

You wasted my time over a parsed word?!?!?! You knew exactly what I meant. You just wanted to be argumentive.

Ok, I can play that game too. You are wrong. Read USPAP. It does not say that the appraiser "sets" the SOW. It says that the appraiser must "state" the SOW.

Now read up and take courses. I am busy.

what parsed word? you said you let your clients determine the SOW, which is just plain wrong no matter how you try to spin it.

what USPAP actually says is an appraiser must "determine and perform the scope of work necessary to develop credible assignment results".

Again, try reading my posts before criticizing. Post #89 I say, "We are responsible for making sure that what they want conforms to USPAP."
Enough of this foolishness. Instead of posting USPAP like a petulant child, you should read and understand the meaning. That way you will not be confused by what people say.

USPAP is a paper tiger....

i did and you said you let the client set the SOW, which is wrong and you are responsible for much more than just being "USPAP compliant". i understand exactly what is says, hopefully one day you will as well.

BzzzzBzzzzzBzzzzBzzzz WHAP! Hopefully that got the sucker.

I am sorry - I do not understand the question. The model for what, exactly?
-------------
To be very honest, I have no idea what it means, although I was trying to inquire about the USPAP rationale that distinguishes reporting from research & development, seemingly a plot to allow latitude for a subsequent sequel. Thanks.

Have you ever argued with a stop sign? If you have, then you understand you understand your opponent. He is not concerned with public trust as his primary concern. Sink that in your skull.
