On the contrary-Pam does know how TAF really works. Run/controlled by lenders and users of appraisal reports backed by a few complicit appraisers who have happily done their bidding in destroying the appraisal process.

Actually, your statement shows your lack of understanding of AF, its role, and how it works...AF's actions are their indictment. It's painfully obvious that they aren't appraiser friendly. And it's painfully obvious that some members, even some who post here, have a personal agenda that usurps the appraisal profession as a whole.

You cannot "Join" the Appraisal Foundation. It is not a membership organization. It has no regulatory authority. It is a non profit educational institution. If it were given any regulatory role it would likely be in conflict with it's charter. I suggest they might mean the AI.

I know Don, But if they are selected as the hub to route appraisal orders / resolve appraisal issues and complain then we will all have to join to get FRT appraisals. Right now we don't know what scope if any they will have with the HVCC.

How many of the forum members here experienced a complaint from the NAR membership about our services to a lender when the value does not served their cause. This not the NAR fight and there support should mean nothing to our industry or the sponsor of this “Proposed” code.

I imagine the NAR is just relieved that they can still coerce LOs. They really don't have much standing to address the coersion LOs have on appraisers.

Supporting TAF as the favorite to be in charge of the IVPI is the closest they can come to lobbying for the status quo.

The IVPI should be Independent (like the name, IVPI, suggest). If the IVPI cannot function Independently, then the word, useless, comes to mind. The IVPI should act Independent.

I completely support the concept of the IVPI- under a different name, however, being a separate board under TAF.

You may like or dislike, trust or distrust the Foundation; however, they are not only the most logical choice for this, having the infrstructure to do it, but the various boards are comprised of the widest variety of individuals from everyone affected.

You may hate the IAC as industry folks- not necessarily appraisers- but TAFAC is all appraiser orgs.

And this is the ONLY groups referenced anywhere in statutes.

I know many will disagree. Really do not care.
