With what? I am not angry with you, but I don't mix words either. It is easy for you to sit a thousand miles away and say something like you did. You are associating my own thoughts and opinions with another entity.

If you are trying to say something grow a pair and say it, otherwise don't come at me with loose jabs at my character. I have no clue who you are, and you have no clue who I am.

I asked a question, you overreacted. You continue to do so. Curious.

Software is available to read ENV files. Get it. Problem solved.

Really! So you admit there is some specialized software needed.

Just where do we get this software? Do us a favor, tell Oregon Doug where he can get this software.

And is this based upon the presumption that AIready processing actually keeps a "true" copy of what they received after it was converted for mining the data. Do they even have one on file for comparison later?

Good question Jonsey.

How about it Danny, Ken, Neil Olson? How about you hook us up with a response that amounts to transparency. If we had some of that, we could be assured that us lowly, uneducated appraisers were well received.

Let me come down to Oxford and see exactly what is going on. If I have assumed wrong in any way, I will write a new article about what we are wrong about and pay to have it posted in USA Today, as long as I am given complete ability to look through the process and I have complete ability to research what is going on. Any real men here, I am happy to even pay my own air fare?

If FNC enables the print function then I am good to go. If they make the OADI viewer an executable reader and I can re-open ENV files I create then I am good to go. End of Problem.

I wont hold my breath.

Cool.

I'm not sure that you cannot re-open ENV files once they are created. If I understand the uploader program correctly, you can open any ENV file at any time. You don't have to send everything you open. But I will admit that I am not that familiar with it and cannot not definitively state that is true.

Actually, as I think about it, if the appraiser is encouraged to open the file and review prior to sending it, that would imply that if anything is incorrect, one could close the file, make a correction, create a new file, and view that prior to send. Since you can save that file, I can't imagine that the software would prohibit you from re-openning the file at a later date.

Thats assuming you can even execute the OADI viewer which we can not!! Then the OADI viewer does not even have a drop down to open any file.

This is the point. Mr Wiley is only telling a half truth when he says no one is required to have a printed original in the workfile. He is forgetting to tell people that common sense says the media your orignal is located on must be readable on demand.

If anyone on the Oregon Board has appraisal software which supports AIReady conversion, their software company should offer a plug-in which will allow the ENV file to be read.

If they don't have that software, maybe alaMode will send them a complimentary copy.

I don't see a defintion for common sense in USPAP.

Ken

Are you here to actually say something? You seem to just want something to do, and picking at certain folks is a bad idea. What interest do you possibly have with this, you have stated you are not that familiar with the process, so why get in the middle of the conversation. You are adding nothing, and apparently either do not know what you are talking about or you are too obtuse to realize you, or you know a whole lot and are just trying to ruffle feathers.

So is it that you do business with FNC or do you have some stock in the company, maybe an option or two when they go public? If you are gonna jump in and swing, swing big.

Another addition to my Ignore list. Congrats.
