As of today, For less than $25 you could have a say!! Buy a share of Fannie Mae Stock, ( I suggest FNM over Freddie cause Fannier is bigger) Get it? Fannie is bigger!! 13.62 per share, plus buying cost. You then can attend Stock Holders mettings, recive ALL the information on what is happening, put your say in writing, voting privilege. Think about it!!

LOL...Why did a picture of the owner of the survivalist shop in the movie "Falling Down" (starring Michael Douglas) just pop into my head?

:rof:

You know your right!!! Appraisers should just sit back & just cry on this Forum as to how bad they got it. (Just think if 4,000 Appraiser were to show up at a stock holders meeting),. Cause back when we might have been able to make a difference most were too busy kissing @$$ with the lenders & MB's & hiring anyone that could take a picture. And so busy cranking out forms with the proper number on page two. I'm old but I remember so many bragging about the income & having Trainees scattered throughout the State. & many actually were envious of others cause they were a bigger company (now they say mill)

Now they come on here & cry that the Golden Goose has left & they scream that they want to see change. OH!! Boo Hoo!!!

Wait another 6 months & see who's going to take the biggest hit for this mess.

Banks are paying the Billions, Mortgage Co's are paying the Millions. Appraisers & some of them will be good ones in the mix will be paying the time. Sure hope those of you that had Trainess had as good a Trainee as you THINK you had. Cause remember even Trainees figured out the only way to be paid is hit the number. & here's the kicker the Trainee did NOT have to sign the report. & even IF they did as they do in N.H. doesn't count in court of law.

Lets hear it from the Trainees & newly licensed got any reports from 04-05-06, you can think of , that your not very proud of today??

Told you June was going to be a hot month!! Now I'm saying that there is so much more to come. I know those that weren't affected in June are saying;

Karl: You don't know what your talking about.

Some of us do know what you are talking about Karl, and we are labeled the trouble makers or naysayers. Some of us are stepping to the plate. We are not doing this for now, but the next turn around of the market. We appraisers are now trying to make the difference for the next generation of Appraisers and for those of us that will still be their.

Let's say 4000 appraisers purchase a single FNMA stock. With about 975MM shares outstanding, those 4000 appraisers represent 0.0004% of the OS.

I wonder how much attention the institutions which own in excess of 90% of the OS will give those 4000 appraisers.

And, there is the dubious assumption that those 4000 appraisers will decide, as a group, how to cast their votes.

Think about it.

KB, I think you are lost on what is happen across America with appraisers. Remember the term that you can not heard Cats? After VA and what the NVS is doing, that term does not apply anymore.

You make a good point, but let me give it to you in Texas Terms. These small stocks from appraisers may be a drop compared to the whole. But let me ask you this? When you get bitten buy one little lowly Ant, you can feel it, right? and then you begin to scratch it and it gets more irritated, just from that lowly ant bite. You may have not seen it, because it was small, but it did bite you didn't it?

As for as the opinion of value, I'm satisfied. But, as for as the report presentation and stuff, I think it can always be better. There are a few reports that could have been better, for sure. Overall, I have nothing to be ashamed of when it comes to the opinion of value.

I think my reports sucked back then compared to my reports today, though. I'm ashamed to have some reports in my file, regarding presentation, etc..(not the as for as the correct data, though.)

I want my reports to look really good and better than what I was doing the year before.

Kenneth, you are not naive nor are you an idiot. How can anyone think that buying one share of stock in a large corporation would give them any say in anything.....that is just laughable.

I don't think it's funny.

Good idea Mr. Karl. If every Appraiser in the country didn't think of your comment as funny or stupid, then there may be a different story to tell next year and then the year after next, etc..(unfortunately, too many Appraisers usually think that a good idea is laughable).

Lord knows if they go under it won't be good at all. Couple of dollars wasted for a good idea doesn't seem like a bad move if they do go under for some reason. It may even make headlines if every Appraiser in the country bought a share in order to try make things better. I just find it hard to laugh at that.

Sincerely,

I agree completely. It was not my suggestion to do so.
