Scaled Scoring on the new exam?

I just had a great idea. Wouldn't it be something if State Boards could require that those guilty of infractions take and pass the new exam? It would be so much more effective at weeding out the incompetent than merely imposing a requirement to take some CE course and pay a fine. A competent appraiser should jump at the chance to merely retake and pass the exam. Less time consuming and less costly.

Here is even a better idea....Since our so called profession is overpopulated with incompetent idiots who were licensed/certified under ridiculously easy licensing/certification rules, all appraisers should be required to take and pass the new test before they are allowed to renew their license/certification. This would go a long way towards weeding out the numerous morons in our industry and would cause those who remain in the industry to increase their knowlege base and overall competence.

Study hall at Timd's for the month before ... Tim you supply the beer and we will buy the pizza.

WE are going to invite Tom Foster, he will bring Julie, and Julie will bring some of her room mates funny cigs ... yeah thats the ticket.

Each question has a different weight to it. A simple question will have as much weight as a difficult question with multiple formulas and calculations necessary. It might have taken only one more difficult question correct to have passed, or 5 easy questions. You'll never know. Don't dwell on it though. Just concentrate on the sections you scored the lowest % in.

Why are you a connoisseur?:rof:

Maybe 30 years ago. Got together with a few old college frat buddies last month. Sadly, we are on the wrong side of 50. Both were "lighting up", one due to leukemia, the other just for the hell of it. Brought back some memories.

The test is 165 questions with 15 being USPAP...the score sheet they give you says 150 though
