Following the advice of a respected forum member I am making this post. In a short period of time, I will be filing a complaint against a so called member of my profession. The purpose of this post is to gain any insight into filing the complaint. I have never filed a complaint. I have had a complaint filed against me by our dear friend the chief appraiser of chase and flagstar back in 2008. So I am familiar with part of the process. For the record I was accused of fraud and quite a number of other things. I represented myself and endured 45 minutes of grilling by the board. The end result was a fine of $1,000 for not using the correct designation and court costs of $500. I believe that I will have to quote USPAP and reference the failings of the appraiser, correct? If anyone has experience with filing a complaint or the process, I would appreciate your input. Just to let everyone know how bad this appraisal is, the so-called appraiser delineated the neighborhood boundaries as being the second largest city in Florida.
