Hello everyone,

I'm from South Texas and am currently an appraiser trainee studying residential property appraisals. I'm excited to have finally made an account; I've been a lurker for some time now. I look forward to reading everyone's posts and to contribute to this forum.

Welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the great welcome Marion, bnma, and everyone.

I'm not sure what I can offer that you haven't seen/heard before since I'm only starting out and am 27 but I'll be sure to be as active as I can on these forums. I've learned plenty by reading many posts on here.

Well stand tough.

We have many crusty old folks that could use the insight of someone your age.

Have fun, we all do.

I started about the same age as you (9 yrs ago), in my mid 20's. It's not an easy profession and with all the rules/regs changes, especially over the past 5 +/- yrs. Seriously, best of luck and don't be scared of some of the "grumps" on here! They usually have bigger bark than bite! But many have a lot of insight.

Don't be afraid to contribute your opinion, either. That's the only way to learn sometimes.

I recommend looking through the "Clients - Good, Bad, Ugly" and through the "Newbie" sections. The "Gen Appraisal" one is pretty good, too. The Watercooler, well, that just lets us blow off steam

Welcome to the forum! You'll be amazed what you learn over time. ;-)

If you have been a lurker for some time now, we might rather hear from you based on all of your lurking and knowledge that you have gained.:amigos:
