And why leave out the "news" stories of the "premier", latest and greatest media publications from AMCs?

But I digress.

The links were valid....
.

Yes, the link is valid. It is a link to an issue with Field Services - NOT Valuation. It is the headline that is a blatant lie. :) The ONLY personnel we have EVER used in the "hybrid" process are licensed agents and licensed or certified appraisers. We have never used Home Inspectors or any type of unlicensed personnel in the "hyrbid" process. The association of that lawsuit with "bifurcated" appraisals is just pandering to emotion on a hot topic. Typical of the source.

The important thing to keep in mind is that the property data collection happens prior to, and completely independent of, the appraisal assignment. In fact, the property data collection is finished and delivered to Fannie Mae before we determine if an appraisal is required

Above from Fannie newsletter- I wonder if the initial PDC inspections that will be delivered to fannie will be exterior only or ext and int ?Since they determine whether to order an appraisal or not from that ( and what kind of appraisal)

Perhaps your reply's should begin with or contain a disclosure that you cannot speak with authority to other AMCs business models

Agents are for listing and selling, not inspecting.

Why would i need to say that? That story does not address other companies. Instead, the headline presents 100% false information about one company :)

As I said in another post, Fannie has acknowledged publicly that they are testing 7 different labor pools for the inspection piece. That is what FANNIE is doing - not what we are doing. Again, don't let facts get in the way of a juicy headline. If an AMC posted something that egregiously wrong the backlash would be off the chart, but it is OK if an appraiser group just makes up something - as long as it is what certain appraisers want to hear. :)

Let the "1004 Protection" movement thrive !! Al together now, 1004 Good, 1004P BAD!! 1004 Good, 1004P BAD !! Join me!! :peace: (I wish I could change the peace symbol to 1004)
