Imagine how many Govt Jobs there are in HUD-VA- GSEs- State Licensing Boards both for realtors and appraisers, FEMA, and Money Center Banks which hire them not to do appraisals but to be managers in valuation departments. There are thousands of jobs that fit into the Administrations goal of updating the appraisal profession. I really think PAVE will be the Govt Model for turning this profession upside down and it will look like nothing of the past.

Basically AI and the other organizations also have a chance to become part of this and clean house and rebuild a new entire business model with new designations and ease of entry. If I was young at not a White Male I would be all over this like white on rice and sell the hell out
of it to everyone I met

Reviewing what? With a sharply reduced number of appraisals, what will they be reviewing or managing?

PAREA is an online course.. Dog training is taught online and dog trainers make a lot more $ per hour than appraisers. I looked into private dog training in my area -$100 and up per hour. The PAREA scholarship is worthless if there are not sufficient appraisal jobs or ind contractor prospects to earn a livable full-time income

By the time people graduate from PAREA few in the stakeholder world will talk about it because it will be an embarrassment. Not because of the content of the education, but because of what are these people being trained for. Fannie and Freddie's position, ( announced before bias was even on the radar) their position is appraisal is no longer required as the default product. Combined with AMC control of a too large portion of the work. Barring correction, ,a majority of trainees and PAREA grads will face bleak prospects on res mortgage side. Because having to bid rock bottom to snag an order is not what they had in mind when they decided to pursue appraising As in, let's design a training program for a profession that we are decimating.

An agent I know who lists a lot of REO properties told me she was “demoted” on several REO lists and a trans male agent is now top dog on the preference list. She is an experienced and competent agent and the trans male has about 1/10 of her experience. it appears some are more disadvantaged than others in the eyes of the elite woke bureaucrats.
