They don't......because real estate lenders, along with other related entities, contributed a significant amount to lobbying efforts in the United States with a total spending reaching over 111 million in 2024.

From what I could find..... real estate appraisal organizations spent $80,000 on lobbying and 2023. So basically, the bar tab for the above aforementioned.

Go figure, the AI ends up spending over 400K defending Steinley, the "*** grabber."

Actually their professional insurance carriers paid for the defence. Not $400k out of their pockets.

It’s concerning to have a spokesperson for Freddie encouraging Florida appraisers to violate state law. By the way, this issue is currently being debated among the local chapter of the AI. So I'm not just making it up. :giggle:
I did not encourage anyone to do anything. I asked you a question about what seemed like shaky logic to me.

Well, then, why did a revaa rep urge the members of the North Carolina appraisal board to not enforce their laws or they would find themselves in a lawsuit?
Not at all responsive to the question I asked. You are arguing "who" instead of engaging with "what". Do you think any aspect of appraisal standards or the laws/regs as they relate to this issue have changed since the inception of USPAP? Because that's the allegation being thrown around here, that TAF has changed the appraisal standards and/or the govts have changed the laws to give something to the AMCs.

Don't lose sight of how laws and regs operate in this nation; that which is not prohibited is otherwise generally permissible. Not prohibiting the AMCs or bundled fees or not prohibiting the use of diverse sources of information is not the same thing as explicitly endorsing or granting permission.

Revaa-Represents mostly AMCs and Lenders so it's only logical they want all States to allow hybrids and other product's.

But they also have appraisers that belong who also do work for the AMCs that Revaa represents. Revaa is a private organization and they lobby politician's and agencies in behalf of their members.

i am supposed to be thanking the freddie guy...i cant stop laughing :rof:

Everyone has an opinion and it is the function of govt to hear all sides prior to making a decision. There is nothing inherently wrong with all sides advocating their respective points, nor anything wrong with a state board making their decision based on hearing everyone out.

As I said, MB-world should never have been allowed to get that big to begin with, and you (and I) should have never come up in a marketplace dominated by the loan salesmen. It's an inherent conflict of interest for them to even touch an appraisal until they receive a copy after the fact.

Guilt by proximity, on the otherwise evidence-free basis. You still think "who" is more relevant than "what".
