Sign of dementia

After coming back from long vacation, I can't find my favorite glasses at home. Don't know where I placed it.

Two things go - memory and I forget what the other is...
What was the 1st one.

Now have to remember, wendy's gives me the food first, not the card. So i'm ready to drive off without my card, until the cashier yells WAIT.
There is no more remembering where you put it without thinking. If you now don't stop, to give your brain time to look at where you just put it, it's gone.

In Italy when buying my Gelato, I mistakenly gave a 20 cent coin instead of a 50 cent coin.
The coins look the same to me.
The once cheerful cashier turned angry and louder saying I gave a 20 cent coin. Sorry, didn't mean to be a conniving ugly American.

By the way, I found my favorite glasses last night in a laundry bin. Don't know why it was there.

Having more than 1 elderly memory moment a week, then 1 a day, then it's who am i.
Not far to get there now.

Today I was cleaning up my rental parking lot.
I was cutting the weed bushes and I left my pruning shears scissors next to the fence. Ugh.
Don't know how I could have forgotten them. My favorite go to tool.
I just hope that being out in the sun for two hours and exhaustion was the reason I forgot.

Cleaning the rental lot, yourself. Dementia is doing $15 an hour labour work yourself, mr big time appraiser. Is that better than what the AMC pays you.

Today at another rental, I hastily plucked most of the weeds from the front wood chip landscape (got cheapest but weeds still grow).
I try to go to my rentals at least once a month just to check on the place and talk to the tenants. And when I'm there I do some "cleaning".
Afterwards, I'm so tired. So tired that I forgot to get my haircut. It's getting harder and harder every year to do the labor stuff.

Keep up the labor, your mind will decline quicker without that movement. Do you take 6000 steps a day? Weight training? I forget the other advice. Maybe it doesn't help.
