UAD 3.6 discussion

I'm still a year away from paying too much attention to this thing, but is there really talk that it will a software pay per report deal? There's no way that can be true, is it?????
They have not come out and said so yet - BUT - they did the "nudge nudge wink wink" hint bit at their ACTS presentation. It was hard to miss.

Perhaps from certain providers.

THIS. Is the only SANE way of dealing with the "Impending Implementation of the UAD 3.6 Abomination". If you want to keep your nerves, that is. Wait til its a "known quantity" before attempting to tackle. And BLOCK, BLOCK, BLOCK all shills trying to sell you on some new software to deal with it.

Having looked at demos from seven different companies, I would encourage all appraisers to look at all the options. I am not saying buy, but definitely look at them. Different providers are definitely taking different approaches, and what is "best" is in the eye of the beholder.

our competitors are making the new forms...that has to be against some law :rof:

Careful, you're going to end up with Mej. :rof:

Even it was against some law, it wouldn't be enforced. Then even if they tried, the snake oil folks would perform their usual mental gymnastics, maybe throw out some threats, etc and like everything else, get what they want. And so goes this thing of ours (classic paulie walnuts line).

just having a hard time figuring out when they are the waiving competitor or the quasi governmental law writers... :rof:
