50 Year Mortgage

I don’t understand your problem. Throwing things out there is a great way to get feedback from people and to see what people think.
50 year mortgage is nothing new. It's been around and didn't get traction in the market.
There are more pressing issues to worry about.

But you never throw out an idea and see the reaction? You are just so negative on Trump you can’t see his approach. Look I don’t like the 50 year mortgage, but it’s worth a discussion. Just as mortgage portability. The fact is unless this market gets unfrozen we are in for a long slog. We need to think outside the box a bit.

Ever hear of “group think”?

50 year mortgage is to help those who can't qualify to get a loan.
Our government should be helping our economy to have good paying jobs.
When people have good income, 50 year or 75 year mortgages wouldn't be necessary.
In Silicon Valley, there are high home prices but there are high income jobs for the workers to afford buying homes there.

And that is what Trump is trying to do by getting manufacturing back into the U.S. by using tariffs. And also why he wants to make it harder for firms to hire cheap labor from other countries with the visa restrictions. And why he is pushing to get trillions of dollars for investments in the U.S. I mean you think Trump is such an idiot, but Trump has been talking about unfair trade practices and the destruction of our labor base for a long long time. Ross Perot said the very same things as Trump did when he ran for President. He said if we passed NAFTA you would hear a big sucking sound as jobs left our country. Everyone laughed at him. He was 100% right.

I think the only thing that would work is interest free loans with flexible repayment terms for home builders. Make it so that they have to build 3+ bedroom homes at or below the state median home price.

Manufacturing is not high paying jobs. Trump competing with 3rd world nations.

Trump boasts about millions of foreign investments. Hate to break it to you but it's all talk to smooch Trump's ego. Have you seen actual millions coming in?
And after recent meeting with Xi, any actual soybean purchases?

We need to build homes that are more affordable. The problem is that builders only make money on big homes. I grew up in a 920sf home with a finished basement. 3 kids. 1.5 bath. 1 car garage. It was small. Didn’t think anything of it. Just about all the homes on the block were similar size. We don’t see home developments like that. Reason: no money in it for builders. Expectations have something to do with affordability as well. Remember the Sears modular home? Great idea. They sold a ton of them. But then the Great Depression hit.

Yes. In fact I just read Toyota is building a $13 billion plant in Georgia. Hate to break it to you but your TDS has gotten the better of you.

Must have been preplanned to build prior to Trump.
Can't recall Toyota making big statement in investing in US since Trump didn't brag about it.
