50 Year Mortgage

During Great Recession, more people could afford to buy a home especially first time home buyers.
Now it's more difficult.
My son-in-law doctor can't afford his dream mansion. We may have to help them especially to come live near us in CA.

You are just BSing me if you say you didn’t see prices going up under Biden. And some prices are going up not because of tariffs, but because of bad weather, etc. For example beef prices are up because of drought conditions that resulted in farmers culling their herds and not producing as many feeder calfs. The same is true for coffee prices. So just saying a price went up, there are many reasons for that.
During Biden, what bothered me most were increased egg prices, avocado prices, and gas prices. Thus, I bought Tesla at that time.
Now those item prices have dropped including Tesla and I'm seeing other items in Costco increased a lot than years back.

Well how about deporting the 30 million Illegal immigrants that will create more inventory' How about we
de-regulate the house permitting, That will lower cost, Lets build smaller houses and make site area smaller, that will create more affordable housing.

I'm curious....
Would you want to live in the neighborhoods most illegal immigrants live....
Similar to "would you want to do the jobs illegal immigrants work"....

is just throwing ideas out here What we really prolly need is wage growth.

Some "bad" areas have been "improved" with immigrants moving in. Immigrants have helped increased home prices with more demand and tax revenues too.

Supply and demand.
Yes I get that' To increase supply and help keep cost lower is to review what it takes to just g et a permit. In my city it takes less than 30 days and the permit cost is very low. I think without looking it up . but I know it its low.

Compare that with California specifically Palisades . I understand that many of those people still have not got a permit to re-build So again the regulations/.red tape to build vary around the country.

The mess created by artificially low interest rates coupled with trillions of dollars printed from nothing may take a decade or two to level out. There's no magic wand, and just about anything the gubmint does at this point will only prolong the pain.
