I have to switch to iPhone

It's the camera + software combo. All the Androids I owned had a half-baked software component. Pixel was the closest I got to a great Android photo experience (and for the same reason iPhones and Surfacebooks are great - Google controls the hardware and software on Pixels). Also, Pixel is the only Android without the bloatware and screwed-with Android OS. All the other Android builders always mess up the OS for no good reason at all. Same with how Surfacebok is the best Windows laptop - Microsoft controls the entire experience and there's no 3rd party bloatware.

Answer me this how do you get appraisal pics off your phone to PC? Im not an iCloud guy and nothing out there I've found is remotely close to being as easy as a cord hooked to my Samsung. I've spent a good 15 minutes trying to get my Sat inspection pics/vids off my phone this morning but the process is enraging so I end up just emailing shii batches to myself in ultra low quality

I use OneDrive when needed but most if not all of my photos are taken with TOTAL mobile app and are uploaded into the report.

Total for mobile, perfect every time

Nothing beats a good 35mm that you can operate with one hand for taking comparable photos. When I have to shoot a picture out my passenger window I simply operate the zoom with my index finger to frame the picture properly and then use the same finger to press the shutter button. Takes half a second. That's "a two-handed operation" with a phone or a tablet last time I tried and one of the primary reasons I gave up on total for mobile. Not to mention the industrial grade flash hardware of a dedicated 35mm camera versus a phone or a tablet.

I do the same thing with the Iphone, also with an android backup, 1 finger the zoom and then same finger snaps pic, already labeled and arranged neatly on the photo pages when I get back to the office. I have the "system camera" checked in the Total Mobile app, so I can have the zoom available. If you use The built-in camera for the Total Mobile app, then you do have to pinch in and out to zoom, so you have a choice, 1 finger or 2 hands.

Now that I'm back with Samsung it's time to buy a tablet again for mobile. Talking with my pal @Functional Obs he suggested the size of something like his iPad mini. So, I asked Grok what is a Samsung unit that would work for Total for mobile for working in the field and rain/snow and it said the Active5 Tab. Having never heard of this series I looked it up and damn it sounds perfect. Military grade (MIL-STD-810H) IP68 water/weather rating and you can use the touch screen with gloves and a chunky S Pen for sketches (I'm assuming never used mobile) seems freaking perfect. 8 years of support, swappable battery and some business/enterprise perks I'm told who knows what that means. It's available on their business page so I registered my biz and got temporary approval with a $18 discount. I then asked Grok and Gemini to scan for discount codes, which never work but Gemini hooked me up. It said ask the chat for a 1 time code for your first purchase which worked! Got an additional code taking off $30 more atta boy Gemini. So, $450 plus tax seems cool can't wait to check it out here's a video review I don't know what anyone else uses or like but this seems good.

Too small for me. I use my Lenovo 10" Ideapad with a detachable keyboard and Windows 11. Detach the keyboard and put it in a hard case. It has my complete software package on it. Don't use the mobile app. If it is raining or snowing hard or too damn cold I resort to pen and paper and an umbrella for my outside measurements. Touch screens don't work well when wet. If it is too cold and even though I have a pair of gloves made to use with touch screens. They are still too bulky and I end up taking my gloves off if I am using my tablet

Not to keep tooting the Apple horn over and over - but when it comes to tablets, it's a ghost town when it comes to decent apps for Android tablets but some very fantastic ones for iPad. Our Android table became a brick after day 2 realizing there are no good apps (vs Android phone). Tl;dr: get a refurb iPad with LiDar.

Like what? I'm not really a pad guy and I loathe laptops so I just needed a good rugged weatherproof Android pad for Total mobile. I'm PC guy by day and cell phone by night. I guess I'm the only one I hated every single day of my iPhone's existence
