3.6 The promises, the predictions, the panic and the fight for the dwindling appraiser dollars

If they keep to their time-line, perhaps they are thinking that the 'selling season' is mostly early spring & summer, and so the 'back in school' slowdown, then Thanksgiving slowdown, the Christmas slowdown, and finally the blizzard slowdown will enable appraisers to have more available time to putter with the 3.6. Then by spring, the 3.6 may be the only game in town.

Don't forget the economy sucks slowdown.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (the GSEs) have been working on the Uniform Appraisal Dataset (UAD) 3.6 redesign and modernized forms since 2018.

8 years... :rof:

I wonder what THOSE implications will be. Just read that WalMart's new primary customer base are $100,000+ earners, replacing the $50,000 earners that can't afford to buy much lately.
Walmart is competing with online business. Target is too.

I told the story where I bought 2 utility tires at local walmart store. I took them home and looked up the identical tires on Walmart website for like 1/2 the price. Walmart was beating everybody on what I needed. I ordered them online and free delivery and took the ones I just bought back. It was both tire and rim already assembled.

Fannie may find out they don't have enough competent 3.6 appraisers.
