My average appointment day is like this

8:15 make coffee and chat with kids
8:45 walk the kids to the bus
9:00 drink coffee / check email / play with my phone
10:30 leave for appointments
11:00-12:00 appointment #1
12:30-1:30 appointment #2
2:00 Lunch, make coffee #2, check email / play with my phone
4:15 walk the kids home from the bus
4:30-8:00 Kids sports / dinner / homework and math
8:30-10:30 Prepare for next day (Not mentally demanding stuff like setting up reports, putting in photos, and floor plans)

Average desk day is like this

8:15 make coffee and chat with kids
8:45 walk the kids to the bus
9:00-4:00 Desk time
4:15 walk the kids home from the bus
4:30-8:00 Kids sports / dinner / homework and math
8:30-10:30 Prepare for next day (Not mentally demanding stuff like setting up reports, putting in photos, and floor plans)

That is what my schedule looks like on a four appointment week. 2 appointment days and 3 desk days. 41 hours - 10 hours for appointments and 31 hours at the desk.

If I am slower than that, then I save about 2 hours per order on appointment days and some of the prepare for next day time.
If I am busier than that, then I add about 2 hours per order on appointment days and shift the 4:30-8 responsibilities to my wife.

4 orders per week if I can do it every week is the sweet spot. Fewer orders and I don't really work less hours, the hours I work just become less productive. More orders and I have to work more hours.

This month completed 14 assignments working part time. Fees ranged from low of $700 for VA tract SFR to $2,900 for a Montecito refinance. :)

It's probably not part time Greg. Probably just feels like part time. You are probably working 40 hours. :)

Spending time with care for 98 year-old mother plus time with two kids, and hitting the gym with a private trainer 3 times a week, who takes no excuses.
BTW, when do you squeeze in marketing, bill paying, book keeping and CE? :)

Here's my day-

5:30 wake up, help wife and kiddo get ready.
6:30 they leave for work/day care and I get in the car and start my field work (I try to schedule all my inspections as early as possible)

1-5pm get home from inspections and driving and type reports

5-7pm have dinner and hang with wife/kiddo

7-11pm type reports

It's 15+ hours a day and I'm getting tired of it.

what do you do after your part time shift is over lol sleep?

good on ya we need more hard working people

$700 for last several years, going to $750 for most CA areas on May 1. There are some remote CA counties with new fees of $850 and $1,000.

Btw, has your turn time changed? :)

You left out racing the Porsche with your brother at the track. :)

I don't do any marketing. I usually wait until the last minutes to do CE.
