One woman's opinion.....and I agree

On what basis or analysis? Oh, wait.,.It’s not clear…

You will see. :)

I actually think it could hit $140 in 2027 based on the price action. But that is pretty near term to make that kind of call. I feel good about within the next 5 years being well over $140 and in a new range.

You say I am making assumptions about the outcome of the straight, but I am making no assumptions at all. You are the one making assumptions that the straight is the only cause, and the issue being resolved will bring oil prices down. There are a lot of possible scenarios. I think one of the bigger contributing causes could be a declining dollar or oil joining the general bull market in commodities.

Yet you make zero factual statements or credible analysis. I am not making assumptions that the Strait is the only cause. Right now IT IS the only cause. Just look at the market reaction when things go well or things go badly. When the Strait was open oil was down in the $80 range. When it was bad it is now near $100. Bad news in the Strait, oil up. Good news, Oil down. Direct correlation. Prove to me that I am wrong.

The events are a catalyst for a pull back. That's how they get you. You are now conditioned to think that Hormuz being closed or open is what makes the oil price go up and down.

You must be a conspiracy theorist. And that this is some major globalist plan by the big oil companies. Conversation over. When a person makes assertions without analysis the game is pointless, because assertions can be made endlessly.

What analysis have you made other than repeat what is constantly discussed on TV? :)

This is what I see. It was in this consolidation / downtrend from the covid spike which topped around the highest price since 2008. It popped out back to the high end of the range when the Hormuz issue started. It was extremely overbought and the good news about the flow of oil caused it to pull back. It found support at the prior resistance and it is now turning higher again. There is a good chance that it is going to make a higher high which would indicate an uptrend.

It's not like we have never seen oil move to a new range before. Before 2004 oil was in a range between $10 and $40 for 30 years.
