FHA Handbook In Pdf Format

[Thomas J Kirchmeyer]

Is there a website that includes the HUD FHA Appraiser Handbook online in PDF format? I do have an older PDF copy of it but I am wondering, when HUD updates the manual, id there different updated versions of it? Or has it been unchanged for many years.

If you have 4150.2, that's all there is. HUD doesn't do piece-meal manual updates.
Although 4150.3 has been supposedly coming to a theater near you for almost 3 years..

Appraiser info is updated via mortgagee letters and info on the HUD website such as Appraiser's FAQ or the HOC National Reference Guide. Take a peek at those for current updates.

Here's a link with the 4150.2 on line at HUD Clips, but I'll keep looking.... seems I remember there is a PDF somewhere out there.

EXCELLENT find, Mel!!!

Makes copying a page of regs to a cleint MUCH easier when you can electronically mail ONLY the pertainant page or 'print' to the printer instead of 'disassembling your whole book to photocopy!

I'm making this one a sticky!

Glad to see someone speaking we [my office and I] have been going back and forth about who can inspect property for FHA.

In other words can a registered appraiser inspect a property and the FHA registered appraiser be the supervisory. I know rules have changed in recent years.

PS If you all say its not allowed I win.

Not allowed.

The FHA approved appraiser must inspect the property. There is no need for a supervisory signature on an FHA appraisal report.

Danielle's, you win!!!!! A registered appraisers is not allowed to be the signing appraiser. Only the APPROVED FHA appraiser may sign the report.
