1/2 Bath Or Full Bath?

I've never run across this situation. The condominium definitely has one full bath; Shower, sink, stool. But in one bedroom they decided to make a bath with just a stool and a shower. No sink. Most of the time when we think of a 1/2 bath we think of stool and sink. However in my opinion I would say a stool with shower is also a half bath. It definitely doesn't function as a full bath without a sink. But clearly one can do more in a shower than in a sink. Call this a .66 bath? What say you all?

I thought the "stool" is what ended up in the toilet.

As to what to call it, when in doubt, spell it out!

The definitions I have seen note that a full bathroom h four parts: a shower, tub, sink and toilet. Missing the tub or shower technically makes it a 3/4 bath, but I've never gone there in my reports. Too confusing and UAD simply says whole or half

A half bath has 2 of those, one of which usually is a sink. A bathroom with a toilet and no sink is not a bathroom in my book. I personally would note it in report but not call it a bathroom.

I'd call it a half bath and spell out what fixtures. No sink is kind of odd though.

Another thought--perhaps more important than what to call it is to consider the market reaction to it. If most people would find it odd, then it may even have a negative impact on market value. Especially if a sink could not be easily added.

Flush 1st if you're not into water conservation....

why does it lack a sink? Was the sink removed ? Is there an area where a sink can be installed, or no room for a sink?

If any reaction, it should be a plus if the other units only have 1 bathroom....
