Does anyone have outside QC people?
What do they charge?
My business is really picking up and I find that some days I spend as much as 3 hours doing revisions.
Yes I use the E&O check on Total.
But I miss stupid things.
I had a QC person but they were charging way too much.
I would like someone who has access to wintotal software so they can make corrections to stupid non substantial things like a missing date or box checked on 1004MC grid.

Never heard of an outside QC person I'm guessing these are mostly silly AMC stips? Do you use AI? You could put one in private chat mode and upload a PDF and ask for it to review it if you're comfortable doing that.

Please understand I am not being snarky but do you read your reports thoroughly before you send them? You are the expert and if you read it you can tell if it makes sense. Just because you pay someone else to read it doesn’t mean they will be better than you.

For your, “stupid, non substantial things”, do you have a significant other who can read them over for free? I did this with my wife when things were busy. The “second set of eyes” caught the typos and unchecked boxes.

Your imperfection says a lot about your lack of focusing. I would drop you for the continuing mistakes you seem to make. It also makes me look at your appraisal more closely, if i was a reviewer. If you make simple mistakes, then i wonder what mistakes you made on the hard parts.

First thing I missed from my ex was she had the uncanny ability to read across the table upside down and find mistakes I made. She was a teacher and pro in the top software at the time. WordPerfect, Lotus 123, Database, and DOS. Taught adult classes to lawyers, doctors, etc. Did I mention she had 20/50 eyesight?

Create form templates for each client with assignment condition verbiage.

A dozen templates for a half dozen clients and I'm correction free 99% of the time.

Are you running spell check (elementary I know). I find lots of weird things that are not spelling errors when I do that, I write down what that weird thing is and then fix it when spell check is done.

Advice about how lazy you are aside, yes - it's always beneficial to have a 2nd set of eyes on a report. Unfortunately, most aren't willing to part with the $ to procure that service. I don't do much field appraising, but I'd venture that there are folks that provide this service. Cheapest would obviously be off shore. Of course, now that we have AI, you might be able to build an app that does that review for you - saving you the $ for that 2nd set of eyes.
