A Doctor To Lead HUD?

I like it. I can see potential development in poverty stricken areas under his leadership like we have never seen. I like the man's character.

But to whose benefit?

But to whose benefit?

Everybody. Clean affordable housing redevelopment in ghetto areas would benefit everybody. I can see him leading a charge like that.

And commercial redevelopment in those areas too. I can see Carson being very capable with the right attitude. I like his attitude. It's all good in that appointment imho.

When one considers that the last 3 POTUS consisted of a womanizing used car salesman, a spoiled trust baby frat boy and a community organizer, I don't believe the republic is in any danger from an MD running HUD, in fact, considering his humble beginnings and accomplishments, he may be the ideal person for the position.

Geeus, give the guy a chance. Most appraisers get their nose out of joint when a realtor instantly pre-judges them. I imagine being the head of HUD and dealing with the career bureaucrats is like corralling cats and just as rewarding.

How is he any worse than the last few appointments?

I don't interpret anyone criticizing Carson....

Dodd Frank references appraiser independence and C and R . So repealing it could signal neither of those matter. But you are of the opinion repealing it won't affect appraisers, no arguing with a personal opinion.
What is "C & R" anyway? ..... Yeah, that's the problem. It is a concept that is nearly completely subjective.

I work for one client that displays its average fee range on its web portal. The average URAR fee in one county is $100 less than the adjacent county, and I'm talking about even if two similar properties were located 50 feet apart, but on opposite sides of the county border. C & R is a myth. AMCs determine C & R by systematically pitting the most desperate appraisers in the market against appraisers who have actually made a career out of fee appraisal.

When one considers that the last 4 POTUS consisted of an elitist frat boy...

Would that be the elitist who, on his 18th birthday, joined the military as an enlisted man, latter earned a commission and became a fighter pilot, and was shot down in the pacific by enemy (Japanese) gunfire after he accomplished his combat mission?

That sounds like an Ivy League stunt the frat house I joined (US Marines) would do.
