A Doctor To Lead HUD?

A doctor to lead HUD? Thanks, Trump voter.

What will the future bring? I can say for sure one word...Uncertainty.

Also, for anyone who thinks uncertainty in the housing market is a good thing, I got an island to sell them.

Lastly, why would any appraiser think a Real Estate Investor would ever want regulation in housing. I never met a real estate investor that welcomed my appraisal report. Just in case you did not put two and two together, Real Estate Appraisers ARE regulation. Will we be around after this administration?
Who cares. HUD is just a big bureaucratic organization whose actions are largely determined by federal laws and regulations and nothing much will change about that no matter who is running it.

Would that be the elitist who, on his 18th birthday, joined the military as an enlisted man, latter earned a commission and became a fighter pilot, and was shot down in the pacific by enemy (Japanese) gunfire after he accomplished his combat mission?

That sounds like an Ivy League stunt the frat house I joined (US Marines) would do.
I agree, I should not have included GHWB in that group and edited it.

I wasn't impressed with Carson at all until I watched the movie about his life "Gifted Hands". His story is very inspiring. Amazingly, he didn't even have a father raising him in the home, but he had an incredible mother. Honestly, if he had had any other mother from the neighborhood he grew up in, he probably would not even be alive to tell about it today.

Don't underestimate the power of strong leadership. I heard Carson could be the best swamp drainer in history. Combine that with his intelligence. HUD is going to new heights.

Yes, a brain surgeon would hardly be able to grasp housing issues especially if his minor was not in rocket science.

Unreal....Just because an article keeps referencing "The Times" as reporting, does not mean the LA Times were the ones who investigated it...that was the consumer protection bureau, the Times reported on it. Stop accusing others of not reading and you won't have to own up to this kind of idiocy.

Dodd Frank references appraiser independence and C and R . So repealing it could signal neither of those matter. But you are of the opinion repealing it won't affect appraisers, no arguing with a personal opinion.

:ROFLMAO:

You have no clue about the world you live in.

Times investigation of Wells Fargo culture provokes strong reaction
December 28, 2013|By E. Scott Reckard

A Times investigation into the intense sales culture at Wells Fargo Bank, published in Sunday's newspaper, has drawn strong reaction from the bank's customers and employees. Many related experiences similar to those described in the story.

The
Times reported that rigid daily quotas caused many employees to unethically inflate sales — often by pushing unnecessary accounts or services, at times without customer permission.

Some staffers begged family members to open ghost accounts; others ordered credit cards that customers never requested, or forged signatures on account paperwork. Phone numbers of angry customers were falsified in bank files so they couldn't be reached for customer satisfaction surveys.

Times investigation: Wells Fargo pressure-cooker sales culture comes at a cost

These findings emerged from interviews with about three dozen former and current Wells staffers, along with a review of internal bank documents and lawsuits filed against the bank.
Wells Fargo officials said they make ethical conduct a priority, have systems to root out wrongdoing, and punish or fire employees who violate the law or the bank's code of conduct. They said the selling is intended to benefit customers by identifying and addressing their financial needs.

Republicans say there's another villain in the Wells Fargo scandal

Jim Puzzanghera
Sept. 28, 2016

Wells Fargo & Co. Chief Executive John Stumpf took the full brunt of congressional anger over the bank’s fake-accounts scandal at a Senate hearing last week and will face more outrage on Thursday before a House panel.

But this time, he could share the villain’s role with a favorite target of House Republicans — the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a new federal agency with a mission to protect average Americans from abuses by banks and other firms.

The House Financial Services Committee hearing will be presided over by Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas), who has blasted Wells Fargo for what he called theft and fraud of customers, but also is one of the biggest critics of the bureau.

Although Stumpf will be the only witness Thursday, Hensarling and other Republicans are expected to start laying the groundwork for an upcoming hearing with CFPB Director
Richard Cordray by lambasting the agency for failing to uncover Wells Fargo’s improper sales tactics earlier

Dr. Carson would be insane to take that job. What a mess he would jump into. He is smarter then all past HUD heads combined. He would run circles around Cuomo.

"House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi is calling the decision to tap Ben Carson as head of Housing and Urban Development a “disconcerting and disturbingly unqualified choice.”

Pelosi says the country deserves someone with “relevant experience” to protect the rights of homeowners and renters.

In her statement released Monday, she says “there is no evidence that Dr. Carson brings the necessary credentials to hold a position with such immense responsibilities and impact on families and communities across America.”

Trump says, “Ben shares my optimism about the future of our country and is part of ensuring that this is a presidency representing all Americans.”

Almost begs the question if,

Ben will care if the disposal works, and should be fixed before an FHA mortgage can be written?

Is there a real accomplishment in there somewhere?
