A.I. Stuff

I am not sure what your argument is here: "...we will not accept money to influence the answer ChatGPT gives you...' is likely true. Altman wasn't saying they wouldn't charge for the service. These companies have to make money to pay the bills one way or another. - And, at this time, most AI are likely loosing money, lots of money. The question for OpenAI, is rather: Are they providing the source code to their service. They are not, they consider the code behind ChatGPT to be PROPRIETARY.

So why "OpenAI"? It doesn't make sense. They should rename the company. But, to me it is not that important. Most company names don't make much sense anyway.

Oracle/OpenAI now have the world's largest AI Data Center - Stargate in Abilene, Texas. xAI Colossus is now about 550,000+ H100-equivalents. -- But understand that getting good information on these AI Data Centers is difficult. What is probably more important are the plans for new AI Data Centers or expansions of existing in the next couple of years.

Their rankings of the AI Data Centers in size and capacity wlll be continually changing for at least another several years.

The importance of these centers cannot be overrated. No doubt the CIA and State Department are using AI to develop global strategy for defense and the economic health of the country. Right now AI is probably being used to develop strategy and tactics for dealing Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, Russia, Ukraine - and pretty much the rest of the world.

The degree of coordination they have and are displaying is unbelievable! They've got Pakistan on our side to attack Iran from the East where they have few defenses, they've got the Kurds on call, ... the coordination - Unbelievable!

AI/Data centers are being built . They need labor

The best Electrician jobs can pay up to $143,500 per year. Thats a nationwide average.

Well there is more to this story. Construction workers are in high demand. We have a labor shortage. I can't find the article but some electricians are being paid $250,000 a year and because of the big beautiful Bill there is no tax on tips and no tax on their OVERTIME. by Assuming they are employed by a company.
Well I have gone and done it now. There will be someone here that is easily triggered

" There will be someone here that is easily triggered"

I doubt that, unless triggered into becoming an electrician.

Grok: "Regarding IQ ranges (as opposed to averages), direct data is limited, as most studies focus on means rather than full distributions. Based on general occupational IQ patterns, where standard deviations are approximately 10–15 points, electricians might exhibit a range of roughly 85–125, encompassing the majority of individuals in the field. This aligns with requirements for apprenticeship programs and licensing, which emphasize aptitude tests but do not impose strict IQ thresholds. For comparison, electrical engineers—a related but more academically intensive profession—are often estimated at 110–130.

These estimates are derived from self-reported data, income correlations, or standardized tests and should be interpreted cautiously, as IQ testing methodologies vary and do not account for cultural or educational factors."

NOTE: Grok is just talking average in the above. The best engineers IQ's have essentially no limit:

Grok: "Research indicates that the IQ range for graduates with a degree in electrical engineering (Course 6, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is typically estimated between 130 and 160, with an average around 140 to 145. This estimation accounts for the rigorous admissions process at MIT, which prioritizes exceptional quantitative reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and academic achievement. Electrical engineering at MIT involves advanced coursework in areas such as circuits, signals, and systems, demanding high cognitive capabilities. Nevertheless, IQ serves as an approximate indicator, with variations arising from testing methodologies, and professional success in this discipline also hinges on factors like dedication, collaboration, and practical expertise.

Key Findings from Available Data

The following table summarizes IQ estimates for MIT students or graduates, with inferences drawn for electrical engineering where direct data is scarce. Sources often focus on MIT undergraduates broadly, but given the prominence of engineering programs, these figures are applicable. Estimates are derived from SAT/IQ conversions, self-reports, and institutional analyses, and should be viewed with caution due to methodological differences."

====. But for average labor-intensive jobs, just look at the median or average requirements. And that is true for all professions ....

Most appraisers could be decent electricians, at some level. They have to be capable of some learning, looking at a tangled web of cables and create a plan for putting them in order and deciding how to reconnect them according to specs - while keeping themselves from getting electrocuted. They also have to be willing to sometimes crawl into tight spaces to make connections in junction boxes. Etc.. Some jobs (very few) do have additional requirements, typically a lot of special training and experience, e.g., on something like The Large Hadron Collider, - or an AI Data Center. - And no, they don't usually care about college degrees, rather specialized training and certification.

AI is getting so good I can see a day coming real soon that I can imagine res appraisers will not be eliminated but the numbers of res appraisers will decline dramatically, Even without AI the gse's have so much data they give the lenders a choice at their discretion to order an appraisal or not, They do need their data base to be updated . So who does that? Easy. The PDR collector is crucial. The PDR Dude is cheaper than using a licensed residential appraiser.

Baby Boomers are aging out. The new kids on the block are tech savvy. Their smart phones can do amazing things now. Since they are they become super efficient. FEAR IS a powerful emotion. Your fees will decline to be competitive

Many appraisers don't do GSE work period. They are all engaged directly with their client. GSE is not intended use or user. Client is only intended user.

No third party involved.

Well your right it does not seem cheaper . Unless they are using the same PDR over and over again. I ask a question here and no one answered.
The question : Is there a date of inspection on the PDR?

How about a name and ph # of the PDR Dude or Dudette?
