A.I. Stuff

China is so ahead of US in terms of EV vehicles. US has set barrier preventing EVs from China in selling here leaving the EV market to Tesla.
Even with no competition for Tesla and with less EV cars being bought here now (Tesla will stop selling Model S and X and change factory in Fremont to making robots), the EV market is given to China thanks to Trump.
If the rest of the world wants to buy Chinese Evs who cares but you. Why do you hate U.S. automakers so much

I have they are amazing that's the problem if they came here they'd crush our auto industry. Elon has said Chinese EV's are the biggest competition and given what he's said coupled with canceling the S & X he many not care anymore. He believe Optimus bots will be the next big thing, who knows.. Funny though, Canadians are freaking out over bringing those cars over Carney is a dumbazz
They are probably freaking out because of this

Yes, Canada is a major car manufacturing country, hosting assembly plants for major global automakers like Ford, GM, Honda, Stellantis, and Toyota, which produce popular models like the Civic, RAV4, Silverado, and Pacifica for the North American market, focusing heavily on electric vehicle (EV) production and parts manufacturing. While Canada doesn't have large, independent mass-market car brands, its industry is a vital part of the economy, making vehicles for foreign brands and specializing in auto parts and specialized vehicles.
Key Manufacturers & Models Made in Canada
  • Ford: (Oakville, ON) – Re-tooling for EVs and Super Duty trucks.
    • General Motors (GM): (Oshawa & Ingersoll, ON) – Silverado trucks, BrightDrop EV vans.
    • Honda: (Alliston, ON) – Civic, CR-V (gas & hybrid).
    • Stellantis: (Windsor & Brampton, ON) – Chrysler Pacifica (PHEV), Dodge Charger Daytona (future Jeep Compass).
    • Toyota: (Cambridge & Woodstock, ON) – RAV4, Lexus RX, Lexus NX (gas & hybrid).
Canada's Role in the Auto Industry
    • Assembly Hub:
Canada's automotive sector is dominated by foreign-owned companies with significant assembly and parts facilities, primarily in Ontario.
    • EV Focus:
The country is heavily investing in transitioning plants to produce electric vehicles, supporting Canada's net-zero goals.
    • Parts & Specialization:
Beyond assembly, Canada excels in auto parts manufacturing and produces specialized vehicles like buses (New Flyer, Nova Bus) and armored vehicles (Terradyne).
In essence, Canada builds a substantial number of vehicles for the global market, even if they aren't always sold under a "Canadian brand" name.

Competition is good, our industry could use the kick in the nuts just like how the entry of the Japanese cars led to the Big 3 finally getting off their laurels and building a decent car. And the reality is today, most of the products coming out of the big three 3 are hot garbage vs international peers (Germans, South Koreans and now certain Chinese brands are making better and more interesting vehicles).

Fair competition is good. The Chinese are far from "fair" competitors
The US has subsided it's auto industry since forever with multiple bailouts, including Tesla out the ying-yang. China is well past the copy-paste phase and is outright innovating now with cars, 5G network equipment and a few other spaces. And they are 8 months behind with AI and will catch up on chips within the decade. Follow the money, this is all anti-competitive behavior and nothing to do with fairness.

Chevy, Ford (and I won't mention the other brand as my mechanic makes money even when people think about those piles of garbage) need a wake up call, and it should be through competition - not anticompetitive legislation. And these days they are not getting enough fro the conservative Japanese brands.

The 7x is the one I'd consider owning if possible: https://www.edmunds.com/car-news/zeekr-7x-review.html

Man, crazy times just became crazier. OpenClaw falls out of the sky and is a game changer. I don't have the skills to set one up without leaving several back doors open for hackers, but I'm even more concerned about the overall attitude in that field right now. I keep hearing it's a "Napster" moment for A.I. So what does that mean? I guess it's an "F-the rules" moment and attitudes like below (post on LinkedIn from a real estate broker) will rule:

"In 1999 the music industry said peer-to-peer was impractical, illegal, and immoral. They were right on all three counts -- and completely irrelevant.

The operators who figure out AI agents first will have an unfair advantage for years. I'm not waiting. I'm building now."

Yeah, the Jeanie is out of the bottle.
