ACI File in Use Error

Before anybody asks, yes I tried to Open Again, several times. I'm 10 minutes away from the finishing the most complex of all assignments; and I am flashing back to my trainee days when file problems ALWAYS happen on Friday night after ACI customer service has gone.

Run the ACI update. If that doesn't work, restart your computer. That always clears this error up for me.

Your suggestion worked perfectly, but before I had a chance to thank you, the program now won't allow me to sign the report. I'm thinking that the most logical solution is toss the laptop out the window.

Time to call ACI in the morning - I've never had that one happen.

Can you open another blank report - then import ALL of the forms from the glitching report, then save it as another name and see if you can sign it. (May have to also manually cut and paste the addendum in - not sure if you can import that into a new report). If you can sign it and all is fine, THEN you save it using the original report# (erasing the glitching report).

Just a suggestion.

At this moment in time, in my opinion, you are the smartest person in the world. It worked. THANK YOU.

"I am the smartest person in the world - and that is why I am still up, working for my wife".

Very professional of you to provide source information to supplement the text within quotation marks!!!! If you want to get even with her, you can always include her age in the source documentation, rather than the date of publication... LOL

Believe me, if you saw her, you'd type anything she told you to type too.1648063146571.png She's the best thing that's happened to me in my life. 1648063170802.png
