All Solar, Et Al, In 12 Years?

You've yet to say a single word not meant to criticize people who apparently at least read and simply not spout the party line of venom - The inconsistency of posted remarks is consistent with the notion that this is a far more complex issue than the trite assurances of the elite that they know with certainty what "climate change" really is. Go look at the history of the Pleistocene -

I'll chalk that up to selective reading on your part. Party line? Now that's rich!

Don't want to point out the obvious density of your reasoning. The point you make in one post is that the climate models are suspect because they fail to account for the total output of methane into the atmosphere. Yes, they would be suspect insofar as they underestimate the impact given the reality of methane in the Arctic. You try to use that contradiction to further your point when in fact it serves the opposite purpose.

Then you expound upon the El Nino/La Nina events to support your attempt to debunk rising temperatures when in fact it does quite the opposite. The point made is that the La Nina event has resulted in the oceans mitigating the rising temperatures to a degree but warning that eventually that will end and the rise in temperatures will spike. Once again, counter to your attempt to debunk.

Ah inconsistency is thy name Duncan!

Tisk tisk tisk. A man who cannot explain his opinion with reasoning is a man spewing gibberish into the wind and then screaming about getting wet by the spray from his own lips.

Global warming (temperature change) is driven by total CO2 levels in the atmosphere, according to climate scientists. Explain why temperature change over 18+ years are statistically zero although 1/3 of total human emissions of CO2 occurred in that same time frame.

Explain why the climate computer models predict temperature change as increasing over the same time period, yet no El Nino or La Nina events are predicted.

These are facts, they are matter of record, beyond dispute but beyond your ability to reason something has to be seriously wrong.

While obviously CO2 has the greatest impact it is undeniable that methane also has an impact on the warming. Beyond your ability to reason? (sorry now have to wait for Terrell the hypocrite to chastise me for an ad hominem attack as apparently he is too bored to read your diatribes! :rof:)

Why do you think more methane emitted than what was programmed into the climate model results in less warming than what the climate model predicted? Paradox found, paradox explained by the computer climate model contradicting reality means computer climate model has no relation to reality, it is simply wrong.

What is your explanation, again? The computer climate model is believable, it is right, reality is wrong? :rof:

Wow, dyslexia kicking in or what? Clearly more methane contributes to more warming. Have made that clear several times yet you write "Why do you think more methane emitted than what was programmed into the climate model results in less warming........"

While methane is a more potent greenhouse gas than CO2, there is over 200 times more CO2 in the atmosphere. Eg - CO2 levels are 380 ppm (parts per million) while methane levels are 1.75ppm. Hence the amount of warming methane contributes is calculated at 28% of the warming CO2 contributes. Here is a graph of the various forcings that influence climate (methane is CH4, right above CO2).

Clearly CO2 is greater cause for concern but methane............

I agree that without such info the models would be incorrect in that they understate the implications!

Terrell--does the above classify as nothing more than the party line and only unsubstantiated opinion?

Where is the warming, Pete? More methane, more CO2 = less warming

Why is that?

Getting back to the El Nino and La Nina climate events, since these are not CO2 dependent (they are in fact independent of the atmosphere since they have occurred for 100,000s of years), blaming La Nina for cooling the atmosphere is tantamount to saying, "the dog ate my homework" as it relates to human CO2 emissions.

Climate change not the main cause for increase in flood risk in flood prone areas

Over 70% of this increase can be attributed to economic growth in flood prone areas.
This new research shows that climate change impacts are dwarfed by the effects of economic growth in flood-prone regions.
Published today by a Dutch research team in Nature Climate Change

http://phys.org/news/2015-12-climate-main-prone-areas.html

The title should have been "Stupid People Build in Flood Prone Areas".

We have FEMA telling us the flood prone areas yet developers can override the development standards with a bribe. Crony capitalism.

And just like clean rivers the climate change change of attitudes and actions will not apply to big business

Climate change models were built to change the minds of sheeple nothing more. Sheeple are just easier to corral.
