you post no laws regulations and assume that the partnerships mean nothing. sorry i offended proteck. do you do desktops for them :rof: :rof: :rof:
Nothing to post. I will ask once more. What does the diversity of other organizations have to do with appraisers being accused of racism. Simple question.

Most of the appraisal organizations have thrown appraisers under the bus and drunk the Kool-Aid that appraisers are racist without a shred of evidence. So it is only fair then fair to ask: what does the racial makeup of these same organizations look like—it is a fair question.

Criticizing the leadership of the professional orgs for not being far more diverse than the profession itself is very...culturally marxist

Last time I checked, appraisers never called out "leaders" of appraisal organizations as not diverse enough. Hell, most appraisers would be happy if all of them went away. They, however, did jump on the train and slammed appraisers for not being "inclusive" enough. No, you can't have both ways. If you want to take sides (and they have), you can expect heavy backfire. We may not be able to boycott TAF, but we can with other organizations. I would advise all appraisers to do just that, except for the Appraisal Guild. Let see if they change their tune once their wallet gets thinner.

djd has been doing exactly that. In this thread and others. And the profession is getting smeared left and right for not having the right mix of faces, with the presumption being that white appraisers are handling their work differently for people based on race.

In their defense, none of the professional orgs including the Guild have the data it would take to come to a conclusion one way or another on the issue, so all they can do is either engage in the instinctive defense and hope they're not proven wrong (like the Guild is doing) or else fly the virtue signal flag knowing in advance that they may possibly have nothing to apologize for (which is all the rest). I don't like it any more than you do but I also don't see any other options at this point - not until we actually know whatever the facts are.

You read the news and you know that the initial "denial" is always deemed to be proof of the accusation. So that isn't one of the options.

culturally marxist freakin comical. the Venal Class can fly off to the next expo and discuss how racist i am :rof: :rof: :rof:

there goes another appraisal via waiver. hey DW tell me how the waiver is my friend. :rof: :rof:

Has anyone realized this thread has gotten over 25,000 views......proof, there are WAY more lurkers here than posters.

Serious question.

Lenders and real estate agents have been found guilty of redlining and discrimination.

Has there been one documented instance where the appraiser and the lender has colluded to discriminate against a certain race of buyers? Ever?

I have searched online reviews for two weeks straight...I have not found one compliant about how the appraiser was racist (not talking about the set ups in the news).

Most of the online bad reviews was for bad quality appraisals or ones that did not meet value.

You would think that if it was sysimatic...you would see 1000's of online reviews stating such.
