Freddie Mac pulls the plug on low down payment loans

In a surprise move, giant investor Freddie Mac announced that it is ending purchases of certain low down payment loans that include lender contributions to the buyers’ down payments. Under these programs, a lender might reduce the required minimum down payment on a Freddie Mac “Home Possible Advantage” loan from 3 percent to just 1 percent. The 2 percent difference would be provided by the lender as a gift.

Student debt is a problem for sure. The only way to fix the problem is to shrink the debt with inflation.

I am the gardener
Tough times, tough tomatos... Tried Early Girls instead of the Arkansas Traveler tomatoes I usually buy (They were out). Worst tomatoes I've ever had. Besides being about the size of a golf ball, the skin is so tough they remind of squirrel hunting and trying to skin the darn things. You don't slice these tomatoes with anything except a really sharp knife.

My career as a gardener would be brief.
the bubble didn’t burst until ’08

Officially nationwide but by early 2007 we were really seeing the signs with builders sitting on inventory. I knew it was bad when on one day I saw three separate work trucks with builders signs park across the street from the coffee shop in front of the local bankruptcy specialist lawyer. After the crush was over, the lawyer retired.

He was also cautious to say you cannot predict when, but it is almost certain to do so...
