Another reason not to live in Texas

Californians like Fernando
Wouldn't you love to drop Fern off in the middle of W. Texas on an oil rig wearing a purple cowboy hat and patent leather boots and see him try to fit in. :rof: I'd pay Taylor Swift concert ticket prices to see that.

Fernando is tired of us saying that he is living in a political trashcan state. He is trying to deflect how bad calif is from his constant lib voting.
Measles measles, measles. Although, nobody has died from it. I guarantee you that people more die, all the time, from government actions.

First US Measles Death in 10 Years: Expert Explains How to Protect Yourself

On Feb. 26, 2025, Texas health officials announced the death of a child in a measles outbreak – the first measles death in the United States since 2015.
The outbreak was first identified in early February in Gaines County, Texas, where just 82% of kindergartners are vaccinated against measles, compared with 93% on average across the country.
As of Feb. 27, there were at least 124 confirmed cases in Texas and nearby towns in New Mexico.

TYPICAL MAGA NOT DOING FACT CHECKING.

2000 employees isn't a significant replacement for the number of tech company workers who have been laid off in the last couple years.
Red States would love to have even 2,000 tech workers.

And make sure he's driving an all electric car to.

Wha up Texas?

In Texas, private firms cash in on property tax late fees, piling debt onto struggling homeowners

Texas has the seventh-highest property taxes in the nation, according to the Tax Foundation, an unwelcome distinction state officials have for years tried to shed as they have repeatedly promised to ease the burden on struggling homeowners like Rojo. Yet when those same Texans fall behind on these taxes, The Texas Tribune found that the state employs one of the most punitive fee structures in America, which allows private law firms hired to collect the debts to charge an additional 20% on top of existing base taxes, penalties and interest.

Spot on. Typically, the more someone points out the flaws in others (or other states) the more they're trying to deflect from their own flaws. Fern wants to be in Texas so bad he can taste the barbeque. He just doesn't want to eat that much crow.

CA or TX....
Which state has the better Mexican food....
MA Mexican food sucks....

Never have been much of a fan of Tex-Mex. Prefer the real deal. The influx of foreigners into Texas has caused the Tex-Mex folks to tone down the spice until now most of it has no taste. Give me a good taqueria any day.
