Any Word On The New Software That Was Expected In June

My understanding is he $89 per month gives you everything including comp importation, analysis tools, 1004MC import, office management, mobile, etc... I currently pay $50 a month just for Spark and was paying $90 a month for Datamaster. So $89 a month for everything seems ok to me. I think they will have $49 and $69 per month tiers as well. I am anxious to know more as well. Fortunately I have until around Thanksgiving before my Alamode is up for renewal. Best of luck!

Different tiers would be good. I don't use any of those services you mentioned... I've never even heard of Spark before. I'm just a one man operation and I limit myself to local lenders. So far I've been able to avoid all AMCs, so I don't need any of their special services. The only service I use is Totals Data Currier. I'm not sure how I will replace that when I change vendors.

save file to your machine and upload it to the client's portal, or email it to them, on your own.

A couple of my clients are small lenders, they do not have portals. Thats why DataCourrier is so nice for me. Its probably the biggest reason I switched to Total in the first place. I've never looked into setting up my own portal. I'm not sure what all that would entail, but it seems like a lot of work and extra maintenance. If you have any links or advice on how to do such a thing I'd like to read through them.

there is no portal to setup, you just save the PDF and XML files to your machine and email them to your client yourself. if datacourrier is the only reason you bought alamode software you wasted a lot of money.

I thought it was advised against directly emailing pdfs and xml files to clients. It thought this posed a USPAP risk of a 3rd party reading the file.

DataCurrier wasn't my only reason for moving to Total but it was a feature I liked.

never heard of that. do you use vault or any offsite backup? that is a 3rd party with access to your files.

from what i remember about alamode it just sends an email to whomever your client is with a link to download the files. there is no password protection so anyone who gets the alamode email could view your report as well. i don't think you have anything to worry about.

I used the free version of Vault for a little while, but don't really need it. I do all my backups locally.

I think you are correct though that alamode does not require a password to access the link. So it may not be any safer than just sending an email. At least in terms of sending the appraisal to the wrong client. I think the concern was with the xml file sitting on the ISP servers instead of a secured server. Although it would seem that an ISP has a certain obligation to keep their servers secure too. This might be something I need to look into again.

I used to deliver via email forever. Only recently started using Datacourier and had to walk my clients thru it. You get a warning when you print to pdf and xml, but just check the box.

Starting to think I'll be retired by the time we see cloud software.

I’m not sure but I thought I heard a new Software mentioned by name on the last Phil Crawford show. And that and that they would be at Appraiser Fest as either a sponsor or vendor demonstration the software
