Tell us how it goes especially how bad it is in spending more time including with reviewers and not getting compensated.I'm pretty sure that I can start doing these on ACI Workbench Jan 25.. Better get a new tape measure and clipboard.

That's what I plan to do. I believe many of the AMCs and even direct lenders began stealthily "black listing" appraisers for not saying yes to the hybrid assignments. I expect the same nasty game to be played with the Abomination UAD.Don't opt out. Just ignore the AP survey- I am.. Hardly any clients are ordering UAD 3.6 now anyway. It looks like most of them are a good 6 months away from it.
If you get an order for a UAD 3.6 and are not ready to accept it, simply decline that individual order.

They are just doing it to cover themselves...in case their portal actually gets a UAD order to process!Of course you should say yes. No one is ready for these things yet. No software companies can handle them yet for the most part and no one knows what to do even if they did. Failure at the leadership level. But I can't wait to see everyone congratulate each other on linkedin when/if this mess every goes mainstream.
So typical of govt.
I just checked AP, you don't have to do anything, it automatically will list you as ready to go. Although Jan 19 date seems a bid odd. Are they not aware that's isn't possible? Maybe they mean 2027?![]()
I wasn't prepared to have to commit one way or the other yet. That was my initial point, and I was giving a heads up. If you opt out the client goes POOF even if they are still gonna use 2.0 for a while. That's what happened when I opted out of Hybrid..I lost a bunch of long term clients. I kind of feel like it would not be smart of me to just dismiss this out of hand without fleshing it out. As with all of my other work, each assignment will be on a case by case basis, I will jack up my fee and they will either pay or not. The smart lenders will pony up. If the low bidders want to grab this stuff and get in over their heads, I'm ok with that too. It's gonna be an interesting 6 months, maybe this forum will start being more about appraising again, and not look like my facebook news feed.
