I decided to pull the trigger and ordered the above from Amazon....
Based on forumite info and online review Omron seems to be a very reliable/reputable manufacturer....
Chose an upper arm vs wrist also based on forumite info and online review, including YouTube videos....
If my BP wasn't so high I would have probably opted for a wrist monitor....
And also price played a factor during the 2022 appraisal volume crash....
Thanks to all for sharing.... :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

Someone with a history of BP issues would probably want something more better.
Not necessarily.... :rof: :rof: I guess it depends on how important BP issues are to someone. I probably should care more.

My family has a history of high BP so use the costco microlife one and it works well enough. You should try to take multiple readings thruout the day to start. Gives you an idea of the range and hi/low times of day and then taking it at consistent times.

I check mine in the morning, before coffee a couple times a week. I'm not hypertensive, but too much salt or gain a few pounds and it jumps. Both times I had covid it spiked as well.

Good luck to you!

omron model that has wifi and a phone app that records your bp. not that high priced, but it's good to have a record to show your doctor if that need arises. also good to see if it varies, then when did it vary and what did you do on those days.

That was contributing to mine. It took a few months, but mine dropped considerably after changing my eating habits I never touch the salt shaker anymore and avoid processed foods as much as possible. If the food comes in a can or a box, in all likelihood it is loaded with salt and sugar, especially soups.

OMRON are good, I have a Panasonic. I had a Panasonic arm version, too. It typically showed 5-10 points higher than the wrist version on the top number, usually same on bottom number. Typically I am 10 points higher at the doctor's office. I was 130/75/68 at my last visit. I just took it and it was 129/63/57. But I've been sitting for an hour or so.

My doctor would kiss me on the lips for those numbers....
And he's not very affected....

I have a broker's license in addition to my appraiser cert. Lucky to have home office but the state sends out inspectors on surprise visits. I was heading out the door to to my yearly physical when two showed up. My bp was through the roof when I got there.
