Most of the people who live in these various neighborhoods are good people who are just doing their best to get by. If it wasn't for the relatively fewer idiots who are causing most of the problems, the majority of these other issues would be self-correcting.

Personally, I think I've got more in common with the working poor than with the idle rich (for whom I have no use).

Those neighborhoods are "dangerous" to live. Most sex offenders live there (I checked Megan website where they lived). Those neighborhoods have fences and gates and guard dogs.
There are some good people (like Glenn if he wasn't so proTrump and proPutin) there but when they have a chance and opportunity, they should move unless there's speculation of price growth like what happened when Facebook opened offices in that FF area.

Tiny house

My ideal is the smallest house possible that is comfortable. And the largest shop I could afford to store all my clutter. 1 bed, 1 bath- shower and john with washbasin and laundry hookups. Galley kitchen and not much else. 500 SF would do it. As small as my house is by normal standards, it has 2 unused bedrooms and an oversized living room and 2 bathrooms.
