Looks very interesting - seems like a good idea. I've bookmarked it, thanks

The only thing it does not mention is the $$$. I just called them and emailed them

I got this link from a customer who invited to apply.

I am wondering what the "catch" is?

<sigh> Oh well I knew it seemed too good to be true

From the second link....

"We’re pleased to expand our partnership with SharperLending through our integration into the Appraisal Firewall ordering and communication system," says Darton Case, President of DartAppraisal.com, a leading Appraisal Management Company with nationwide coverage. "DartAppraisal.com is approved by hundreds of wholesale lenders and investment banks across the country. Our licensed appraisers are experienced and free from outside influence. Their reports are reviewed by our quality control department, resulting in high-quality, independent property appraisals. As part of the Appraisal Firewall platform, we will offer lenders a full range of high-quality, HVCC compliant appraisal services throughout the United States."

I just reread the press release. It say Dart appraisal is using them.

But it also says something about keeping relationships. I have a call and email in to them, as does one of my lenders. I will post back when I hear something else.

If their fee is $200 per order then we know the answer :)

Record numbers of community bank and credit union appraisal managers and appraisers have utilized the technology’s self-signup process in an effort to save their local business relationships in anticipation of HVCC regulations slated to take effect May 1st, 2009. Users are establishing connections to lenders and appraisers that they do business with to process appraisals in a compliant manner within the system. Additionally, some users have accessed Appraisal Firewall’s backup AMC solution – either for out of area coverage, or as another option to HVCC compliance.
""With Appraisal Firewall, local and regional banks, credit unions and appraisers can bring their established relationships to the platform to maintain compliance,

Let's keep each other posted

(crossing fingers)

I talked to them. They are not a lender, they are not an apprasier or an AMC. They are a software company that has built a system for compliance. The lender submite the order. The lender submits the names of their appraisers to this site. The software will have the paper trail that shows compliance. The fee is very reasoibale. I have registered and sent the link to my lenders. Seems on the up and up to me
