It is improper to end a sentence with a preposition.

Yep...you are certainly correct.

It happens occasionally.

Well, I would love for someone to show me HOW the TAF has done anything in the past decade to promote or protect the real estate appraiser. Look at the membership/leadership of that group...clearly of, by, and FOR lenders. Look at how FNMA *****-slapped USPAP's convoluted allowance of gaining geographic competence, for one instance. Thank God Fannie called that shot.
As for lobbying for the interests of real estate appraisers I am totally ignorant of what TAF has done on our behalf. From my perspective, diddily squat.
The AI apparently supported and promoted the appraisal part of the financial reform bill, which clearly TAF was vehemently against! And, oh pray tell, WHY? Can you say "lender's interests"?
Bill Garber and Scott D. have worked very hard in Washington....just not pulling the wagon like TAF would dictate. I am as proud of AI right now as I have been in 10 years. This is a rare and golden opportunity to make some bold moves which could impact us for a long time. I hope the leadership of ALL the appraisal sponsors have the vision and the backbone to pull it together.

I have no (membership interest) dog in the fight, but have enough interest to follow what happens.

Nice to see you posting again Perry.

BTW, since very few if anyone anymore knows anything about the Appraisal Section of the VAR that you and others worked so hard to form in Virginia, what do you think about starting a "Virginia Coalition of Proffesional Appraisers"? I belong to, and have been active in the one in North Carolina where I am also certified(NCPAC) for several years.

I would be willing to work with and be supportive of such a group.

How proud are you of AI ready and AppraisalPort, Peturner? Those are AI sponsored debacles which have been a thorn in the side of EVERY residential appraiser! Not me, I'm not proud and I'm not happy with the way my dues dollars are being spent.

If ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise. While you may not like AIready and AppraisalPort, if the AI hadn't assisted in developing them (for streamlining the process and facilitating submission of reports) someone else would have and they would have been bigger thorns in the side of residential appraisers.

Feel free to blame all of the unrelated and perceived evils on the AI, I will defend your right to make silly comments--this is America, after all.

Like Mr. Turner, I'm proud to be a member, realizing the landscape would be substantially more dismal if not for the efforts of the AI.
