Oh, I forgot to mention the Chairman of the AVM task force is from Property Science who also is a member of the IAC. Coincidence I know. :giggle:

Lol, they’re not that stupid. TAF is not going to come out and say "Give us money and will let you write our standards".The proof is in the pudding Zillow paid for access and now they have a vice chairman sitting on the AVM task force. Now will you acknowledge that TAF has lobbying ties and retract your previous statement? By the way, it would be appropriate to disclose your position on the Appraisal Foundation Board of Trustees, so people can understand your perspective. I know TAF has transparency issues.
Boss, I'm not going to change my signature to a disclosure. At least I use my real name and folks may use any meager internet search to find out who I am, the name of my company, my address, email, and mobile phone number. Nevertheless, here is my disclosure:

Francois (Frank) K. Gregoire
Gregoire & Gregoire, Inc.
St. Petersburg, Florida.

In 2024, I am in the middle of serving my second term as a member of The Appraisal Foundation Board of Trustees. I was originally appointed to a three year term starting in January 2020 by the president of the National Association of Realtors. At that time, NAR was an Affiliate Sponsor of the Foundation and had the right to make an appointment to the board of trustees. I was reappointed by the president of the National Association of Realtors to a second term that started January 2023. As a result of changes to the Foundation Bylaws, the second term was extended to four years. Also, as a result of the changes to the bylaws, no individual or organization has the ability to make an appointment to the board of trustees. In 2024, I serve as Secretary/Treasurer for the Foundation.

Consult the online version of The Appraisal Foundation IRS Form 990 to confirm my pay for the position ($0.00).

As a reminder, your original claim was that the Foundation lobbied the Florida Legislature on some issue. I called BS and stand by that statement. An examination of the seventymillion posts made reiterating your claim the TAF has spent eleventy billion on lobbying, there has not been one with a credible, verifiable source to identify where the alleged lobbying was done, who did the lobbying, was it TAF staff or a paid lobbyist, and what the issue was.

It's always amusing when anonymous internet posters make allegations about "transparency".

Amused, I am. Nevertheless, peace to you and yours.

You know they also do appraisals, right? I've reviewed a bunch of their appraisal reports over the years. They apparently supervise some trainees, too.

I've been on their panel for years. But very few assignments as their client have limited exposure in my areas

They have a bunch of MAIs and their own farm system.

Thanks for bragging about your credentials Frank like anyone here cares. What would you call this?

Btw I never said TAF spent millions lobbying. I said they lobbied the Florida Legislature and that the IRS form proves they have spent money lobbying. I thoroughly explained the IRS form in a previous post. The only one suffering from reading comprehension appears to be you. Thank you for playing along. Lol

They are busty farming out their assignments to companies like BBG.

I don't see what the problem is. The Appraisal Subcommittee isn't part of TAF . It's a federal govt agency. Moreover, commenting about possible conflict with the feds is arguably part of Park's job, and advocating for USPAP is part of TAFs job. Those actions aren't what come to mind when the connotations about lobbying revolve around a pay-to-play allegation.
