What I SAID was "Men are raised to understand that if they get in over their heads they're on their own because nobody is coming to save them. Least of all a woman."

That's a reference to what they can reasonably expect, regardless of what they want. And yes, I did teach personal responsibility, self-sufficiency and resiliency as being among the core values. That's the only true form of inheritable wealth that a parent can actually pass on to the generations who follow.

If your parents didn't teach you that then please allow me to apologize to you on their behalf.
