Basement In Florida

Assessors are my first contacts ... perhaps because my mentor was also an assessor and understood the 'job requirements' included responding to public requests timely (like 72 hrs)?? I recently requested 5 years back historical sales from Hennepin County, MN...received in spreadsheet format.
I've even called and asked them to run a query for odd-ball homes like bnmappraisal to affirm bracketing not possible. My opinion, everyone in real estate is important ... regardless of title.

I just got off the phone with a very friendly gentleman in the County Property Appraiser's office. I explained what I'm dealing with (a basement). His first reaction, similar to the several agents I've talked to, "Whoa! That's a tough one!" But he was very nice and helpful. He said to give him some time (I said, take whatever time you need!) but he's going to run some searches and send me whatever he can find (or not find).

Side note: He did mention that they (the County) value this type of area similar to a porch and/or storage; meaning they don't give much value to it. I thought this was helpful information.

It'll be interesting to see what he comes back with; I'll keep you posted
