Anyone here realize your State probably requires people who apply nail polish to be Certified?
BTW... who are the fine folks who are offering certification in home measurement ?

We have a number of firms in Charlotte that offer Home measurement. I have seen some of the work from several companies and they do really good stuff.

What should bother some of you they get as little as $100 to as high as $300(what invoices I have seen)

Seems some of us are in the wrong business.

It has to be less risk than RE Appraising and better money when you consider time as the factor.

Several years ago a homeowner questioned my sketch and figures since it didn’t match the figures when he bought the home. I called on one of these companies and told the HO I would pay the $300 if I was off 5%. It was a very professional sketch and was completed in two days. The HO bought a nice sketch for his files.

So when your paid a trip fee, and you did a site visit including measuring ...Seems like the fee should be north of their fees starting at the minimum price

The HO paid my appraisal fee and the $300 third party measurement fee.

Home inspector may actually have less operating cost, plus GEO-Competence is not a real issue like ours is...

So start a company offering RE Appraisals, Home measuring, Home Inspection, Property Management, ---There is gold out there to be had.

Big benefit of these other skills is you could market directly to Realtor. I got about 5,000-6000 Realtors in my area.
