Some of the new iphones will be sufficient to take those hard bathroom photos. I used iphone 11 which has the wider digital capability and it works perfect.
The less things I have to carry, the better.

If you are using a word processor and no form, I guess you're good then.
yep, I just set it to width of paper and height to match proportionally

You could carry a GoPro on your chest and takes pix and get audio at the same time, calling out what you see instead of writing. I've never tried that but it might work. Or a helmet cam. :)

Picked this Nikon up for under 200 bucks used. Came with a fixed 10mm and a 10-32mm lens. Perfect for interior shots, any wider and you get the fisheye effect. Good enough range for comps, but I only use the MLS anyway.

I like fisheye...it warps the electric pole when taking a shot in a close back yard :) And here is a fisheye as well as evil eye from Ace the insane merle eyed border collie...

I picked up this Sony W830 last year for $69. Takes very good photos (especially with flash) and is 2" x 4" and less than an inch thick. What I don't like about it is the proprietary cable that is just one more cable lying around.

--------After fighting with various cables and various attempts to link the cellular phone camera with my computer, I started to upload to Google photos, which also facilitate an easy download into ACI.

Panasonic lumix DMC cameras are waterproof, shockproof, small enough to put in a pocket or on a lanyard, 25mm/50cm wide angle, have GPS built in. We had given these to many field employees, never had someone break one.
