Best GPS for appraising

I use a Garmin and have British ladies voice. I also have a pirates ship as my car icon. I like it alot when I am in the subdivision shooting comp pics but sometimes the route to the subject property is not the way I would take. I thought I would hate the thing and always was a map guy. I still have 4 map books in my car missing various pages but rarely use them anymore.
The other thing is I think my Garmin has been trying to kill me lately. Taking me down various dirt roads that I would normally avoid. It was one of the few Christmas gifts I use.

Personally, if you need a GPS to appraise in your market, you are no doubt geographically incompetent

I'll second that -

A real man really doesn't need a GPS anyway. Maybe a wrinkled, stained old map on occasion is all that's required.

A real man has a good built-in sense of direction, and doesn't listen to a female give him directions, whether she's talking from the GPS, or from the passenger seat. . :icon_mrgreen:

I agree with RSW. I've been using my lap top GPS for 4 years. I can type the addresses in so quick. I bought a tom tom a year ago went insane using that for a week and returned back to my laptop. Streets and Trips Software cost like $70.00 and came with a USB cord for the GPS. Lap top sits in passenger seat works great.
