Climate Change

At the UN Climate Conference in Bonn, Germany last May, using the Ethereum blockchain was proposed to help combat climate change. Alexandre Gellert Paris, an officer of the UN’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, claimed that “blockchain could contribute to greater stakeholder involvement, transparency and engagement and help bring trust and further innovative solutions in the fight against climate change, leading to enhanced climate actions.”

More specifically, blockchain could be used to facilitate trading of carbon assets, the owner of which has the right to emit a predefined amount of greenhouse gases. Companies can buy and sell these like any other asset, and this market can benefit from the increased efficiency and transparency of the Ethereum blockchain. In fact, IBM and a new organization called Energy Blockchain Lab are currently trying to adapt the blockchain to China’s carbon trading market.

The spin stops here.

So your idea is to overthrow one corrupt system for another. I played a lot of poker, you can't bluff me.

Ok, you can trust your media that is fed to the masses. A "concerned China" about carbon print .... do I swallow that in one bite or in small bits? (China, just basically declared their president - emperor of the world last month. We still live in a country where some of us still believe in individual freedom.

Problem is that nobody TRUSTS anything or anybody anymore - thats what fiat money does - it warps everything.

Bitcoin relies on mathematics. If you don't like Bitcoin, then invest in Proof of Stake coin ..... that does not use electricity.

Spare me.

Whenever the UN says anything, I'm already down the road. Carbon credits are just another way to tax people and keep the elites in power.

Why would i invest in any of it. the gold chain salesman scam is old.

All of it is a scam. Rome was a scam.

Something to consider as suggested by Dimitry Orlov in The Five Stages of Collapse: Survivors’ Toolkit:

"In an effort to introduce a helpful taxonomy of collapses, I have defined my five stages of collapse to serve as mental milestones...the proposed taxonomy ties each of the five stages of collapse to the breaching of a specific level of trust, or faith, in the status quo. Although each stage causes physical, observable changes in the environment, these can be gradual, while the mental flip is generally quite swift...

Stage 1: Financial collapse. Faith in ‘business as usual’ is lost...Financial institutions become insolvent; savings are wiped out and access to capital is lost.

Stage 2: Commercial collapse. Faith that the ‘market will provide’ is lost...import and retail chains break down and widespread shortages of survival necessities becomes the norm.

Stage 3: Political collapse. Faith in the ‘government will take care of you’ is lost. As...the political establishment loses legitimacy and relevance.

Stage 4: Social collapse. Faith that ‘your people will take care of you’ is lost as local social institutions...run out of resources or fail through internal conflict.

Stage 5: Cultural collapse. Faith in the goodness of humanity is lost....Families disband and compete as individuals for scarce resources."

Anyone here trading swaps or options on ledger x?

I looked into but spreads are way too wide. Essentially illiquid.

I'm holding out for the CME next week.

I'm just going to sit on coins.

I don't know what to do about Bitcoin. I was waiting for $5,000 and missed the dip. Now it's looking like it's about to push a lot higher. I might have to chase it.

I hate opening positions at highs. I can wait for it to rip and then buy on the next dip. Think it's probably going to be higher than the price today though.

I see no reason why doesn't go to $25,000 plus.

Financial markets black swan, Bitcoin. Fiats crash, Bitcoin. CME, etf's. Cause bitcoin demand.

Trump was a sign. The far left and conservatives are so close in this idea of F the Gov. Will only grow. It's worldwide.

Boomers die off and leave inheritance. New gen doesn't trust the system. All goes into crytpos.
