Bitcoin Is Over $7,200!

Depends on when you jumped in and if you took any profit out during the ride up.

I got lucky, my son needed a chunk of cash right before this latest slide, I cashed out a bunch at the right time. Dumb luck really, but it did help out tremendously. Now I’m just waiting for another entry point to put fresh money in and am holding what I have with no stress. If the market sinks to June/July levels I’ll put fresh money in.

I caught some of that live stream with that Heart guy that Big Ole Boy posted and he was basically saying that blockchain is too complicated for the masses to understand.
Blockchain is not something that is proprietary to Bitcoin and can be used by any other cryptocurrency or any other payments system, which is why I have never understood what it is about Bitcoin that is supposedly so valuable. It was simply a speculation/momentum play and now the momentum is gone (although it may return at some point in the future)

I don't know too much about it either. IMO Bitcoin has name recognition value or brand value which is why I don't believe it will go to zero and why it has staying power.

Momentum gone but good bounce coming. Opportunity to exit IMO. I would be surprised if it just goes straight down although not impossible.

This stock pull back may be a good thing....equities were definitely getting a little bit frothy

You betcha! Near the close I took very nice positions in O; D; OMC, CAH and IBM. BEN is another screaming dividend buy but when IBM fell to nearly a 4% yield, I had to swap it out.

Average yield 3.96% with 10.6% dividend growth; all very safe dividends 86 average safety score.

Waiting to see if HD, TXN and CSCO get to a buy price.

Good luck peeps!

From what I can tell this Bitcoin thing is pretty close to witchcraft but I appraised a house yesterday where the owner had a rack of 30 Bitcoin mining machines/servers (?) in the basement. He doesn't pay a heating bill, good... his electric bill is over $3,000/month, bad. 15 degrees outside and he had the windows open. He explained (tried) the process, convinced me to stay away from the unknown.

I'll stick with stocks. Last week I sold Boeing for 200% profit in 2 years and sold DE and CAT for 100%+ in the same time. Got a bit bloodied yesterday but might be buying today unless the bloodletting continues. I'll be like a kid in a candy shop if it drops another 10%.

What's the saying..."Best time to buy is when there's blood in the street....especially if its your own blood."
