She settled for an undisclosed amount and stated she agrees "not to discriminate in the future". That's admitting that she discriminated. She also has to watch a documentary starring the Austin's.

News orgs probably just pass it around. NPR has a pro big governmnet slant to its propaganda.

Of course it has the implication. It is like saying I promise to not beat my wife in the future, it implies you beat your wife in the past.

So, when you're seen by the teller at the bank, they don't start off with " you agree not to rob us, right Ms. Sadie"? I don't know about you but I would find that insulting.

Seems like this case could have gone either way....
Miller or Austin-Tate....
But of course phraseology probably tipped the scales just enough to convince Miller to concede....
My opinion is subject to change should both appraisals be made public....

Wait, what? So, I'm the bank robber who went to jail and am now reformed and I'm coming into the bank as a customer now?

No I mean if you didn't rob a bank before but the news claimed you did.

I'd have gotten both appraisers on the stand and I'd have had some very pointed questions for both of them as to the circumstances of their engagement. Among other things.
