Builder refusing entry under construction

Write the report with the information you have and also include the builder prevented an on-site inspection. When the 'deal' hits that snag then pressure will be put on the builder and he'll call you, welcoming you to the project.

Once had a builder essentially threaten my 'life' if I ever stepped on one of his properties again. He went bankrupt and out of business a few years later.

Why not contact the builder... not his lackey... and ask in a non confrontational manner... why he won't allow appraisers to inspect properties where the improvements are under construction?

In my personal experience, updating the lender to any situation involving access has always produced the desired result in no time flat.

I don't argue with Builders, owners, or RE agents - if, for some reason, they do not want to make an appointment, I let the lender /client know, and now it is their problem. Either they get me in, or the order is canceled.

Update: Did the inspection of the outside. When I was there, a worker (some foreman as they actually bothered to addressed me) asked if I needed help. Told him who I was and why I was there and asked if I could go in. He said I had to get permission from the “facilitator” for someone to escort me. I knew from her email that she was off for several days. Said I was fine with just the exterior.

Proud of you. Fernando would have done the same. Going to subject's site to see its location.
