Had an instructor last year in one of my Certified General Classes, tell us he had a young lady that he was a mentor to. Told her he would only sign off on appraisal he could inspect and see in his area. He got a call one day from a lender about an appraisal he had sign off on out of his area. He found out that his trainee had found a way to copy his signature and send in reports with out him ever seeing the report.

He told us he mails all his reports in and they are sign in ink. He will not use EDI.

By the way he said he also seen to it that the trainee is now doing something else for a living.

I did have an LO tell me one time that they did not want to see my reflection or my truck parked in a driveway, in front of a subject. And take my logo and sign off of it. I like my logo so I make sure in every appraisal it is in the report in front of the subject.
