Hello folks, I am an appraiser apprentice and seeking to start a real estate appraiser business now with the help of my state.

Is this possible to do, if I hire a Supervisory Certified Real Estate Appraiser (contract hire) to supervise me, until I complete the apprenticeship?

I'm pretty sure that's a state thing ... In FL I'm 99.X% sure you cannot

Have you asked your State? What makes you an apprentice? Who gives you a license to operate?

I'm in NY, I don't see a further explanation why I cannot, I'm not sure.
If you want extra income, work from home, it would be great.

The NY DOS approved my initial plan, so I guess I'm able to do so.

One of the reasons I hear why one CANNOT here in FL is:
"If you hire your boss..."
That just opens up a whole can of worms: i.e. One's a trainee - "employee/CR" says you can't do that... Open said can of worms ....

You could be an AMC. LOL

Well as long as you have connections.

They are crying a shortage in connections though. Idk dog. Call your State.

Well, I guess you answered your own question.

Good luck to you then.

Side note: As a CR, I would never work for a "Trainee" owned company

With new AMC regulation of AMCs, worms are going to eat some folks. LOL
