When Trump lies and makes up his narratives everyone lies, everyone else lies too. China calls it out publicly their narrative and public opinion.

The only fox I ever saw killed ran into a log and was a grey fox which usually climb a tree. The hounds drug him back out and killed him before we could get to the dogs first. Neither red fox nor hounds climb a tree normally. Once the fox gets bored with the chase, they usualy go to ground or up a tree. Sometimes they wade across a creek or float downstream which throws the dogs off. End of race. You learn the dogs' voices. That unlike French and English foxhunts which are now banned where a pen raised fox is turned loose in front of hounds and chased over unfamiliar terrain. The fox doesn't know where to hide and is not used to running. They are run down and killed by the dogs which is a terrible fate.

Same with cage raised quail. So unsportsmanlike. Nothing better than watching quail dogs work. Toward the end of my hunting years, I rarely even shot. Had much more fun just watching the dogs.

In Trump's first term, China didn't really push back regarding the tariffs. China accommodated Trump with agreements to buy more agricultural products.
In Trump's second term, we see a more aggressive pushback against Trump tariffs. When Trump lies and makes up his narratives, China calls it out publicly their narrative and public opinion.
Trump has emboldened China.

What kind of crackhead thinks China needed any sort of emoldening? China, under Xi Jinping, has been on mission to try to become the preminent world power and that mission has nothing to do with Trump or anyone else outside of China and everything to do with Xi' view of the world.
