I am doing a survey of what is customary and reasonable fees for Marion, Hamilton, Hancock, and Johnson Counties.
What do you charge for FHA?
What do you charge for 1004?
What do you charge for 2055?
Do you charge a different fee based on the county?
Thank you for all that reply. Remember you're worth more than you think!

I don't do any secondary market work but a couple other appraisers that work those area tell me thy charge 425-475 for 1004/FHA, a bit less for 2055. They don't charge more per county but will charge more for distance.

I might PM with someone who wanted to trade fee info with me, but I certainly wouldn't post it publicly. No more than I would my client list. You're kind of asking a lot of folks...

Does your state do any statewide fee surveys?

No, they do not. VA posts customary and reasonable fee's. There is no other place to locate customary and reasonable fees that I have found. I don't have the ability to see what is typical for the area.

I have discovered what they are in my market by raising my fees with certain vendors until I stop receiving orders. I either get good data about my market, or...more money. :) You can always lower your fees back to where you get orders you want as well. Instead of racing to the bottom, I call it racing to the top.

Appraisers don’t get out of bed for less than $500, but thats not inflation adjusted For diff states. They all say the same number which is odd, don’t get out of bed for less than $500 in Florida and CA.....Guess CA Appraisers aren’t too bright or are getting fat. 1 of the two.....or they are all keyboard hero’s and lot of them had to go on the dole during Covid...

Why would a profession making 6 figures need to go on the dole?

You might want to move this to the Indiana page and set it up as a poll...
